HØYEM started up based in Berlin, moved to Oslo and now ripped between the two citys in contrast. Behind the label is Charlotte Høyem Osburg. She studied fashion design 5 years at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). There she attended the class of Vivienne Westwood for 3 years. During her studies, Charlotte worked for the tailoring departments at the Oslo Opera as well as the Komische Oper Berlin and for Vivienne Westwood in London. Her Diploma was presented at the Tempelhof Airport Berlin and after that she was asked by the label Chloè to work for them in Paris. Returning from France, she was granted scholarships by the "Norwegian Government Grants for Artists" and the "Oslo Kvinnlige Handelsstands Forenings Stiftelse", which was to lay the cornerstone to her own company.
HØYEMs collections are produced ethically correct in Europe, and are mostly consisting of GOTS certified fairtraide fabrics.
